Idiosynkratische Tonstücke für die Orgel: IX. Der unendliche Feuerstrophe [Philip Daniel; 2020]

Ninth in a series of "Idiosyncratic Tone-Pieces" for concert organ (the instrument ideally of the "French Symphonic" variety). An "endless verse of fire," unfolding in the passionate polyphony of seemingly endless melody, with colorfully extended harmonies arising out of the contrapuntal ether. An indirect homage to the ultimate movement of Schoenberg's "Five Orchestral Pieces" (Op. 16), "Das obligate Rezitativ", though in my own characteristic style and idiom. The painting in the video is "The Women of the Flame" by Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
