Aphorismen für Klavier: I. "...mit Raureif bedeckt..." [Philip Daniel; 2020]

First in a cycle of aphoristic miniatures for piano, here in crystalline fashion evoking the earth "bedecked with frost". Note, in the piece's brief and compressed duration, the central section, almost a "canone al rovescio" (canon in inversion), framed by icy chorale-like outer sections. The painting in the video is "Village in Winter" by Isaac Levitan.
