After prayer and serious consideration, Murchison Farm has decided that we will remain a Primitive Campground and become a Wildlife Preserve! This new practice will take effect on June 1st, 2020! We will no longer lease our land for hunting rights or allow public access for hunting! This will provide more abundant wildlife sightings and opportunities for photography, while providing refuge from hunting pressure in the surrounding properties.  This step is a natural progression to our existing Land management practices. We already perform an active management program that includes frequent controlled burns and promotion of food source plants. 

As shared in a previous post, Murchison Farm will offer a Year round camping season beginning with Our official 2020 opening date of March 1st! We have made several improvements to make our campsite even more enjoyable to our campers. We have added a number of swings, hanging from huge oak limbs and planted numerous Wildflower seeds. We will continue to add Wildflower seedings throughout coming months into Spring! We have done extensive controlled burns that have opened new wildlife trails to those who like to explore! We are in the final stage of completing our outside toilet as well as several other improvements!
