WEEKEND THEMES
- Major DeFi pessimism over the weekend
- We are currently in pre-U.S. Election limbo
- Total Crypto Market Cap: $400B up to $410B down to $400B again
- Talks of a Digital Euro
- Large 7d decreases in DeFi tokens. Good buying opportunities for blue-chip organizations

A.M. RESEARCH CALL NOTES
1) We are Bullish
- TVL in DeFi remains near ATH's at $11.04B at time of writing (Source: https://defipulse.com/)
- TVL in DeFi did drop from $11.14B to $8.48B for one day over the weekend, but recovered to $11.04B by Monday
- DeFi Interest Per Year (IPY) estimates remain at approximately $101M at time of writing, consistent with last week (Source: https://defipulse.com/defi-lending)
2) This Tweet by @krugman25 is a great example of why we are bullish:
- Decrease in $AAVE price, while TVL in Aave platform remains near ATH's
3) Our very own @SquanchyTrades gives us a peak inside his portfolio (solid picks!)
4) We quickly discussed the CME Future Gap:
- The Chicago Mercantile Exchange allows Bitcoin futures trading, but is closed on the weekends and holidays. When there are major prices changes during those periods, there is a "gap" that between the CME price and the cryptocurrency exchange price, that historically gets filled shortly after. See picture in article below.
- Joseph Young for CoinTelegraph discussed the recent 2% drop in BTC nicely: https://cointelegraph.com/news/btc-traders-caught-off-guard-3-reasons-bitcoin-dropped-2-in-just-1-hour
5) Found a new DeFi organization DEXTF
- Creating a peer-to-peer relationship between investors and portfolio managers.
- Long list of crypto ETF's, which double as portfolio ideas
- Their Web3.0 dapp is live here: https://dapp.dextf.com/command-centre
- @defipulse does a nice write up of them on Twitter:
6) CoinDesk reports that Australia is researching a CBDC (central bank digital currency)
7) Another new DeFi organization discovered is Lumos Finance
- dapp is live. They are building a novel economic game where one earns "spells" in exchange for providing liquidity into Uniswap LP pools or the LMS-ETH pool. LMS is the native token of Lumos
8) Quality crypto mapping of $SXP by @AltcoinSherpa:
- You will see this 'hump-like' chart on a lot of DeFi coins that represents the Summer of DeFi 2020. Just because the summer is over, doesn't mean we didn't leave an impact and roots for growth.
9) We found the Boson Protocol on the research call this morning. Quality find. More research to be done.
10) More fundamental valuation propositions being reported from ChainB that the German Central bank is in discussions with the Ocean Protocol to develop a blockchain project (not a CBDC):
- ChainB reporting: http://chainb.com/?P=Cont&id=27364
11) Even more fundamental valuation propositions in that an Australian company that is conducting an initial public offering (IPO), will accept USDT as a payment method.
- ChainB reporting again: http://chainb.com/?P=Cont&id=27329
12) DeFipedia is helping edcuate people about DeFi and also bootstrapping through sale of their $BOOKS token. Check them out!
13) I have heard of multiple Web3.0 dapps state they use Arweave as a decentralized storage service provider. Bullish!
14) Web3.0 Media is coming and Outpost Protocol is a great example. Connect your Metamask to interact with Media.
