I wrote about Overline Network in the past, as the concept sounds really promising. They recently announced that they will launch their own chain, to develop the ōLand project. Good things to come from Overline or is just a project that will slowly lose the hype?
A mysterious world is floating above you! This is how Overline Network is advertising their invite to "Join the BIGGEST metaverse". Users can mint a free NFT Land, part of a people-owned decentralized wireless network that will upgrade the telecommunication industry the same way crypto enhanced the financial sector. Logging daily brings extra benefits, as the users will earn ōCash and treats.
Overline Network does sound genuine and innovative and the use of ōLand NFTs will integrate real estate into the Metaverse. The NFT represents a form of ownership in the Overline's wireless network. and the ōLand owners will receive crypto rewards from wireless activity that happens through the router devices that are working in the 1.67 acre plots.
I added a daily visit on Overline Network in my routine, adding ōCash in my balance. The ōCash can be used to buy treats, which are then used to build structures on the lands.
You earn one Overline Cash per day and you need only ten of them to get a Treat. The Treats can be placed on the unlocked lands, and will take a week for a random structure to be built. Adding more treats will reduce the duration but I strongly recommend to use only one and build more instead of building quicker.
I choose to place the treat on one of my Overline Network Genesis Lands, and waited for a week to see what structure will be unfolded. Structures will improve the generated income of the land, and I am sure I read somewhere that sometimes you may get a companion... if you are very lucky!
The week passed and I reveled the Water Well! The structure raised the land power from zero to 350, but not sure what will that do. Was time to build more and more, and wait for the earning system to be put in place.
Moved to my second Overline Network Genesis Land and dropped a treat. One week later I upgraded the land with Carrier Pigeons. Hope they can deliver messages and avoid being caught as good as THAT PIGEON from the cartoons.
Logged to Overline Network daily and I bought a treat every 10 days. As both my Genesis Lands had a structure, I moved to the Generation 1 lands. The first upgrade was a Candy Tree, which boosted the land's energy.
Overline Network Highlights
- The ōLand NFT represents 1.67 acres of land in the real world, as well as digital real estate within Overline's wireless metaverse.
- No wallet is required to mint the NFT, no KYC or silly forms. All you need is to register with your email. My advice is to use an alternative email, not the main/work one.
- The location is random, and the earnings are higher depending on the wireless activity that occurs on your plot. Like all things within the Overline ecosystem, ōLand plot rewards can also be boosted using Emblems (EMB).
- Users can own multiple plots of ōland. Each friend signing with your referral link gets one NFT and you will get another ōLand.
- ōLand will provide a fun graphic interface where the user can walk around and explore the land, even broadcasting messages to people on their ōLand.
- According to the stats I found on Overline Network, their Metaverse is 10x bigger then Overside and many more times than the Sandbox and Decentraland. Not sure how accurate are the stats but if the numbers are real... this is huge alpha sign!
