White lilies in the blue lagoon,
How I wish to save your beauty from the monsoon;
To keep your petals pure and clean
So that I may remember them within my dreams.
Harmonious and peaceful grove,
I stand to keep you protected from destruction;
Untouched by the world’s violence;
Pristine in both appearance and divine essence.
Serene river of this sweet life,
By my word, pestilence shall not undo thy grace.
Your currents will revive us all,
Or else, by your damning, Mankind shall greet their fall.
But foolishly, this thought evaded me:
For what do I bleed, your passing splendor,
That which you hold by no fault of your own,
By which you tempt my form into its doom.
Though dearly dear do I hold you within my heart,
A pawn to love won’t I be, but rather, a lover that’s
Composed in a supremely ordained unity.
In turn, our worlds will become one;
There will be no space between the Moon and the Sun;
The stars will, all, swirl together;
And, that warmth of the dark void will be our cover.
