It's making moves in and out as well as up and down. Think about the average price being the center of mass in a swirling vortex that closes all paths of potential movement. There is however a point in time in which everything falls into equilibrium and the the center of mass blines right through the gap following the directional momentum, in our case this means average price itself will be making a move until it forms a new center of mass which will be our new average price within our trading range. Interestingly beautiful fact is that equilibrium forms a vesca pisces, everything just lines up perfectly, and this can be tracked lol. You can use a kind of almost fourier transform called the euhler discreet fourier transform to model this two dimensionally with the lines tied to a single point in space rotating around themselves and forming euhler angles on the tips to show direction of spin of the tracked value. You add up the three angles and viola you have the angle and direction of the main value being tracked, price. This system is s used to track the rotational movement of propellers, lol, I've had to delve into seriously seemingly off topic subjects to come too this. I'm gonna have to do a series on this I realize. This has been part 2, an introduction to the fourier transform. I'll try to publish additions daily till I have it all out. It's a lot of data and info to parse through to just make a comprehensive article pertaining to this subject so please bear with me. Thank you. Good luck.
