#6 - June 17th update

Hello there!

So many things are happening! The changes in crypto payouts have caused a huge storm in the player base. I will not cover this subject again but I remain confident that future updates will bring more opportunitires. Also, not a day goes by without some new information coming out that needs to be shared.

New shop item

In a few days, a new shop item will be up for grabs for 2 yellow keys. The Summer Cubie BP can be yours. Below is a sneak peak of the cubie. You can see that he has a drink in his hand and is wearing a rubber ducky swim float. The bad sun tan cracks me up.

HQ Skins shop drop delayed.

It was mentioned in the last few days that we would see the introduction of a HQ skin in the shop. However, Illusionweaver said that its release needs to be delayed as it needs more work. Does this mean that the HQ upgrade to level 5 is delayed as well?

Battlepasses???.

There have been talks on Discord of battlepasses for months. A battlepass is a package that can be bought with keys/crypto or fiat that gives special items. The goal of CHW is not to give a special advantage to those who buy them. They will be mostly for cosmetics, it may drop skins for different structures. Their intent is that if you buy the battlepass all the local community would benefit from it. Soon we will be able to get unique blueprints via the battlepass and monthly quest achievements. I have always been skeptical of battlepasses in most games as I prefer free to play games, but I am intrigued. If I can pay with in-game crypto or keys, I may buy them. Especially if it has a community boosting feature.

Canada Day (1-2 July,Canada only) and 4th of July events (4-5 july, US only)

These two events are next. All blue vaults will drop only event items. Players in the respective countries will get event items and a chance for the country blueprint. Remember that there are no Happy Hours during events. Also there will be NO red boosted vaults this time around. Kookoopuffs mentioned that once a big enough number of players have the country cubies, they may introduce new ones.

I already have the Canada cubie. This year I will be in the USA for 4th of July even though I bought the USA cubie BP many months ago in the Auction House. I have the cowboy hats but I am missing the footballs to print it.

Cubie Air?

Illusionweaver mentioned in Discord that the red boosted vaults mechanic will be replaced by a new mechanic for the CHW anniversary, Cubie Air. Apparently the win rate was way too high and needed to be changed. See the screen capture below.

Will it take an Air Elemental Cubie with spending a red key to use the Cubie Air? Watch out for its price to rise in the Auction House.

Lucvend’s personal update

I have reached my goal of stacking 3 red key equivalents by printing and selling a Turtle Cubie and selling my extra Tiki warrior cubies. I am happy to have reached that goal so fast. I could have done it faster by doing all my walking quests every day. Unfortunately do not have the time to do them all. On many days, my GF (Flyppers) and I take our evening walks just before reset, will generally do goal 4 and sometime push to level 6. I mostly do goal 8 once every weekend. Competing for the leaderboards are way too energy/time consuming for me.

I still need to get the Hihiu Tiki Warrior to complete my collection. That will require extra work to get the necessary keys. I will definitely get a summer cubie. I also locked transfers to Uphold in order to stack my crypto in game to have enough to purchase a battlepass. I will do one last buddyquest before going on vacation with Flyppers and the kids.

That is all for now. We should learn in the next few weeks about the HQ level 5 and hopefully the tagging system. I fear we will have to wait for the Hunter's Lodge. I am currently working on another post about the upcoming structures. On a final note, keep hitting system vaults. The crash of crypto prices is giving us so much sats and gwei that a system blue vault gives almost as much crypto as when Bitcoin was at its all time high.
