You surely know it and you may have already noticed it, our banks are not huge fans of cryptocurrencies. They don't trust the blockchain system, warn you about a widespread scam or they just see it as a threat to them. There are many reasons for this.
Fortunately, this is changing and for some time (a few years?) now they are gradually turning to the world of cryptocurrencies. Some of them already actively use the system and this is precisely the case with Bank Frick.
In fact, in a press release published recently, this Liechtenstein bank indicates that they will no longer use the classic interbank settlement system (SWIFT) and they will rather use the USDC stablecoin. Stefan Rauti, the head of Blockchain service at Bank Frick said, and I quote :
This underlines our claim to be the leading blockchain bank in Europe.
The interest would therefore be twofold for them. Firstly, to facilitate and carry out interbank payment transactions in a much faster way and secondly, to show their interest in cryptocurrencies to potential customers. It is also possible for customers of this bank to obtain many cryptocurrencies through them (BTC, ETH, LTC,..). And in terms of security, their clients' cryptocurrencies are stored on cold wallets.
We can say that they are quite advanced in terms of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies and I would like it to be the same for my bank. And you what do you think ?
Thanks for reading, have a nice day, stay safe !
