You can install Linux NEXT to Windows, or better yet, add a second hard drive or SSD drive and install Linux on it AND get a menu when you are booting up asking which OS you want to boot: Windows or Linux. You have NO excuse NOT to try Linux. Linux is free, You get to keep Windows, AND if you need to, SSD and HDD are cheap.

I didn't say it enough: You can KEEP Windows while trying out Linux.
