The death of a 44-year-old is the first death from a coronavirus infection outside China, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). To stop the development of the epidemic, Chinese authorities have virtually cut off Wuhan's 11 million inhabitants and a number of surrounding cities in Hubei Province by prohibiting them from leaving closed areas.
