Stay Safe, Stay Smart
The Liberland Blockchain is growing rapidly, and more people are joining every day. To interact with it, you need a wallet to store your Liberland Dollars (LLD) securely. Just like with any blockchain, the golden rule applies: Not your keys, not your coins. If you don’t control your private keys, you don’t truly own your LLD.
At this time, we don’t have an official Liberland wallet, but we provide a Liberland frontend for accessing the blockchain. You can choose from several supported wallet applications to keep your funds secure.
Protecting Your Wallet: The Most Important Step
🔴 BACK UP YOUR KEYS! When creating a wallet, do not just leave it as it is. Write down your secret phrase (seed phrase) on paper and store it somewhere safe. Use a secure password manager like BitWarden for extra safety. If possible, do both.
And most importantly—REMEMBER IT. If you lose your keys, you lose all your funds, and no one can help you.
If we had a dollar for every time someone told us, “My laptop broke, and I lost my wallet,” we’d be stacking towards 1 BTC by now. This is completely avoidable—just back up your keys properly.
Wallets We Support
At the moment, Cold Wallets like Ledger are NOT supported. Do not attempt to use them, or you will lose your funds. We are working on Ledger support, but it is not ready yet.
For now, you can choose from the following hot wallets (wallets that store keys online but still keep them encrypted).
For Desktop (Google Chrome Only!)
Google Chrome is the only browser that works properly with the Liberland frontend. Do not use Brave, Firefox, or Chromium.
- Talisman – A browser extension for Google Chrome. This is the easiest and safest way to interact with our blockchain. If you’re new to blockchains, use this.
- PolkaJS – Works like Talisman but with fewer features. If you want a great product, just use Talisman.
For Mobile (iOS & Android)
• Subwallet – A full-featured mobile wallet that also works as a browser extension. You can use it to connect directly to blockchain.liberland.org through its in-app browser.
Using ETH, SOL, and TRX Wallets with LLD
Although Liberland runs on Substrate, you may want to use Ethereum, Solana, or Tron wallets for trading LLD on exchanges or bridging to other chains. Here’s what you need:
Ethereum (ETH) Wallets
Since Liberland is working on integrating the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), you may want to prepare by using an ETH-compatible wallet. Most importantly, you will need one to trade LLD on Uniswap or bridge to Solana and Tron.
- Recommended: Metamask, Uniswap Wallet
- Other options: Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet
You can use the same private key for your Liberland, ETH, SOL, and TRX wallets, but it is not the safest practice.
Solana (SOL) Wallets
The best and most widely used Solana wallet is Phantom. It is sleek, powerful, and does everything you need.
Tron (TRX) Wallets
You can store LLD on Exodus Wallet, Trust Wallet, or others, but these won’t let you use Tron’s special features like collateralized loans. For that, you need a more specialized wallet like Tron Link—but be careful, as this is not beginner-friendly.
Where to Trade LLD? Centralized Exchanges (CEXs)
If you prefer using centralized exchanges, make sure you send only native LLD tokens—do NOT try to deposit LLD on ETH or SOL. If you do, you are on your own.
Here are the current supported exchanges:
• MEXC – A top exchange, currently ranked #7 worldwide. Safe, reliable, and with a good reputation. KYC required.
• BitMart – A newer exchange for LLD. Friendly staff, self-reported proof of reserves. KYC required.
• Biconomy – A smaller exchange that accepts the Liberland Passport for KYC, making it a great choice for Liberlanders.
Some smaller exchanges like Coinstore and Emirex also trade LLD, but they require KYC and do not accept Liberland passports.
Trading on Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs)
Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) do not trade native LLD—only wrapped tokens. The only exception is LiberDex.
- Uniswap – The biggest DEX, where you can trade LLD for USDT, ETH, and other ERC20 tokens.
- Raydium – A more speculative Solana-based DEX. High-risk, high-reward trading. Many LLD holders use this as their main exchange.
- LiberDex – The only place where you can buy and sell native LLD and Liberland Merits on the blockchain. Right now, it is simple, but it will evolve into something much bigger.
Bridging LLD to Other Blockchains
Liberland is building cross-chain compatibility, allowing users to move their tokens between different blockchains. This process is called bridging.
Bridging LLD to ETH: Use the SORA Bridge
To move LLD from Liberland to Ethereum, use the HASHI Bridge. You will need:
- A Substrate wallet (like Talisman or Subwallet)
- An Ethereum wallet (like Metamask)
- Some ETH for gas fees (minimum $50 recommended)
Once bridged, you can trade LLD on Uniswap or bridge further to Solana or Tron.
Bridging ETH to SOL: Use deBridge
To move LLD from Ethereum to Solana, use deBridge, a cross-chain liquidity transfer protocol. This allows you to swap wrapped LLD between blockchains.
🚨 Important: Use the deBridge “bridge” app (“dePort”) not the “swap” function. Those are two apps of the same provider and look very similar. The swap can offer you a worse deal than bridging, resulting in needless loss of funds.
🚨 Warning: For both bridges apply: If you don’t follow the instructions on our official wiki correctly, you may lose your funds. Read the full guidelines before attempting any bridging.
Earn Passive Income with the Liberland Blockchain
Liberland isn’t just the world’s freest country—it’s also an opportunity to secure your financial future. Even if you’re not living in Liberland yet, you can start earning passive income today through the Liberland Blockchain.
Staking is the process of locking up your LLD tokens to support the blockchain. In return, you earn passive income as a reward.
You can stake in two ways:
1. On the Liberland Blockchain itself.
2. Using LLD that has been bridged to Ethereum (ETH) or Solana (SOL).
Everything is managed through our staking portal:
We will soon release a detailed article on staking, but in the meantime, you can explore our full documentation here:
Final Thoughts
The Liberland Blockchain is growing, and with it, new opportunities arise. If you take one thing from this article, let it be this: BACK UP YOUR KEYS.
By using the right wallets, following the correct procedures, and staying informed, you can securely manage your LLD, trade on exchanges, and explore new possibilities in the blockchain space.
