Bitcoin was founded in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto - the presumed pseudonymous person/s. From that point onward the world started to know the new technology and its magic buzz. Slowly it gains the value and widely accepted by all the sections.

From the above graph, we could see the magic growth curve from $0.09 to $ 68,991 in just a span of 11 years.
From any other investment instrument, we could not possible to achieve this impeccable and magical growth.

On the other hand, Ethereum was conceived in 2013 by programmer Vitalik Buterin, the Russian- Canadian Computer Programmer.

The All Time High of the Ethereum was recorded on Nov 16, 2021 at $ 4891.7 which has also travelled a unimaginable journey.
The major advantage on Ethereum is that it allows the programmers to create various decentralised applications onto it. A decentralized application is an application built on a decentralized network that combines a smart contract and a frontend user interface. Till date, it is said to be more than 2700 dApps were built on Ethereum network alone out of roughly 3500 dApps which accounts more than 77%.
In addition, many other cryptocurrencies are utilising the ERC-20 token standard on top of the Ethereum blockchain and have utilized the platform for their initial coin offering too.
Recently in 15 September 2022, Ethereum transitioned its Consensus mechanism from Proof of work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) in the major process called the Merge. As a result of this, it has cut the Ethereum's energy usage by 99%.
Bitcoin Vs Ethereum
As there are various analyst from various sections reveal that Ethereum would beat Bitcoin in the coming days owing to the programmatic environment. There were other analyst refute this and firmly say that Bitcoin would be the market leader.
But we all should understand that currently Bitcoin trades 72% lower from its All time High while Ethereum trades 77% low from its All Time High.
What would be our choice?
Ethereum may or may not outperform Bitcoin this year or the near future- short term or long term.
