A few days ago, Kadyrov, the bombastic leader of Chechnya and well-known propagandist and bulls***ter, posted a video with a Cybertruck and said, in the video, that Elon Musk himself gifted him the Cybertruck.

There was no proof, obviously, and anybody with a half-working brain would automatically know that's bulls**t.

Ordinarily, Kadyrov wouldn't be taken seriously 'in the West' but, because this made Elon Musk look bad, several 'reputable' news outlets saw an opportunity to discredit him and treated this is a serious bit of news.

Musk, having probably been tagged on X and asked a million times, finally replied, and he said "are you seriously so retarded to think I gave him the truck?"

But it didn't really matter to 'reputable' news outlets who still covered it. Those stories are still up. They haven't been taken down.

Then, moving on to a totally different subject, there's another bit of totally fake news that went viral.

An X user deliberately created a fake Apple iPhone unveil event invite, shared it (anonymously) with a well-known leaker who did his 'thang' and leaked it.

And again, this was taken seriously by news outlets who didn't think to verify.

The X user in question openly said he created this fake invite in 2 minutes with an image editor.

So the Apple event invite is fake, but again, this didn't matter to 'reputable' news outlets who still covered it. Those stories are still up. They haven't been taken down.

This is becoming a problem.

In effort to chase modern media in a war that they've lost, because make no mistakes they have lost, traditional media outlets are losing their mind.

They're desperate, because they're bleeding money and their viewership/readership numbers are appalling.

So they threw integrity out of the window and they just go for the clickbait, without ever verifying.

And unfortunately a lot of people still believe it.

Now, I'm gonna stay away from the Cybertruck story because that's political, but I'm gonna use the Apple story as an example.

This is fake. The guy who created the fake to mess with people is literally telling us how he faked it, and how he created the fake invite, and he's openly telling us it's fake and he's just messing with us.

And yet, the fake news of the upcoming Apple event is still out there, still being reposted, still being taken seriously, and the news outlets that published the story have not taken it down.

This is unbeliavable.
