One important thing to note for any new memecoin trader is to DYOR. 

Do Your Own Research

Often on social media you will see postings that will be trying to grab your attention to buy a coin. People will sometimes post a ticker without a CA (Contract Address) in an attempt to get you to buy the wrong coin. 

These people are often scammers looking to divert funds into a coin that looks just like the one that you are looking to buy, but it is to the wrong CA. 

Whenever possible, try to verify if the memecoin you are looking to buy has a Dev (Developer) that is in good standing with the community.
