Loot. Survive. Earn.
That's the slogan I'm going with in a test advertisement campaign I'm using on a select few platforms. If you're new here, I've been documenting my journey as a retiree getting into game development. Play to earn is not a new concept to me since most games (any industry), people will try to make money in a secondary and or black market. Initially I had liked the way things were going, but when the "Axie bubble" happened, lessons were or should have been learned. In retrospect, we should have seen it coming. All of us, not just the lucky few that were labeled F.U.D.-ders (the fear mongers). I didn't get burnt however, the onboarding process was too hard for a layman such as myself. So what did I learn and how will I be applying it to the text based play to earn massively multiplayer online game, let's dig in.
Work in Progress.
Game play is based off casino type games. Here in the states, my favorite thing to do is go to the casinos in Vegas and in Atlantic City. To cut expenses for gaming production, the glitz and glam wasn't a thought and just added the basic infrastructure. As far as visuals go, to cut expenses for gaming production, I set the stage by painting a picture for your mind. This saves by not having to purchase or create any digital assets like trees, this can all be crafted for free in the mind. Just for reward sake, those able to stretch their minds can find hidden clues and solve story line quests. Survivors will need to defeat bosses of zones to advance to the next zone, which will have fewer resources but is more rewarding.
Elephant in the room.
I'm not a very good game developer. I am a jack of all trades, master of none. I know a little bit about coding and a little bit about cutting and pasting images; I know a little bit about S.E.O. and trying to proper positioning in the S.E.R.P.'s, oh, and I know a little bit about cryptocurrencies. Yeah I was able to retire but I quit the race early. I'm a minimalist. It shows in most things I attempt because I don't want nothing besides the bare minimum just to be happy. I've done the bare minimum I think is necessary for a serious play to earn game that's focused more on sustainability versus the bottom line. All monies earned from the site and from posts like this will go back to fund the game. If you want to tip me however, Ill eventually get around to making a Patreon. I know I keep mentioning it but maybe one day, I will actually get around to it. For now, I've been working on a story line that going to lead ultimately into the new feature (player versus player).
