Cryptocurrency wallet service Plustoken allegedly took $ 3 billion of its customers ' cryptocurrencies and went missing.

Launched in 2018, PlusToken Wallet had promoted itself as a decentralized and international cryptocurrency project backed by a South Korean team. On PlusToken wallet's website, which focuses mostly on Asian countries such as China, Japan, Russia, Vietnam, and a few European countries such as Germany and Britain, Mr. There's very little information about Leo. This site also says that the wallet was developed at an R & D laboratory in Seoul, South Korea, but other information reveals that it was actually developed by a Chinese company in Jiaxing, China.

It is unclear who owns or is run by whom, the company announced earlier this year that they are aiming to reach 10 million users in 2019, and at the beginning of June they also announced that they had reached 3 million users.

The Chinese police, which launched an investigation into this issue in March, have arrested some people related to Plustoken, and Chen Bo, The company's president in China, has also been added to The Wanted list.

Exactly 3 months later, on June 29, the Vanuatu police, who reported internet fraud on the Pacific island, arrested Chen Bo along with 5 Chinese. The 6 people are thought to be key members of Plustoken's founding team, although authorities have not given much information about the incident.

Also earlier this month, a similar Chinese cryptocurrency wallet service, TokenStore, disappeared from view, taking the cryptocurrency deposits of more than 2,100 of its users.
