My first introduction to the world of crypto was when Bitcoin was affordable, and I had a couple of hundred and some time to spend figuring out how to buy some. Then disaster struck, my laptop died, and I found myself on a months long journey to find one that suited my needs well (turns out, there are a lot of reasons why people choose particular platforms) and I put off digging in as I had a rather lot of notable life events to keep up with.
From there I found my way back into Magic: the Gathering as a hobby, buying/selling/trading the cards was always a neat pastime for me via the web and in person it was a solid way to connect with my friends over the years. This lead to following content creators, and one pushing the Brave web browser which, aside from struggling to get it working smoothly for my limited needs, was a great introduction to crypto. Still, a bit of time later and I was out all my BAT by donating it to deserving content creators.
On to now, when I started digging back into Brave. This lead to me finishing setting up Uphold, as the obvious choice at the time for where to deposit my BAT (in hindsight, so much changes in the crypto world so very quickly that I should probably have held off until I had more time to dig in). Thanks to a lovely write-up here (https://www.publish0x.com/decentralised-africa/uphold-digital-money-platform-2021-review-xryqxvd) I find I am in need of digging into alternatives. Will Gemini, that Brave (https://brave.com/state-of-the-bat/) now supports be a good choice for my limited time/earnings? Only time will tell. But if the comments on the previously linked Publish0x article are right, my time is almost certainly better spent researching Coinbase first, any suggestions are welcome.
