On-line and mobile commerce, have increased rapidly, during the last decade. Although, the overall commerce is dominated, by the off-line commerce, which is 90%, of the total commerce market. We see, an increase, in on-line shopping, but giants, still invest on off-line commerce outlets. Off-line merchants, are using tools, that they do not give feedback, like flyers, and they have no way to find out, if the campaign was successful. The Carry team, is looking to innovate, on the off-line commerce market, by using blockchain technology. They want to provide a platform for merchants, to understand their customers and communicate with them, Enable consumers to control, their payment data, and monetize the information, and offer a new advertisement channel, that is effective and transparent.
With Carry, merchants and consumers are connected, using blockchain. The protocol comprises of two major parts. First, there is the blockchain itself, that offers transactions and smart contracts. The second part is the API, that allows connection of third party Apps, like Carry Wallet API, and Carry, device API.Merchants, provide loyalty points, or coupons to customers, to encourage return visits. With the Carry protocol, merchants, can give branded tokens to their customers. If customers, want their transaction data, uploaded to the blockchain, they get a reward, in CRE tokens. There are three types of tokens. Smart contracts, CRE tokens and Branded tokens.
