My Crypto Earnings (November)

By johnwege | johnwege | 1 Dec 2023

As hard as it sounds to believe, November has already come and gone. The year is flying by, and soon people will be making their New Year’s resolutions. While it’s important to look ahead, it is also vitally important to learn from your past. With us reaching the end of November, it means that we have reached my favorite time of the month. The time when I calculate all of my crypto-related income for the month.

If you are new, this is part of an ongoing monthly series that I write chronicling my journey towards hopefully reaching financial independence. I don’t write these articles to boast, but instead, there are two main purposes. The first is that by tracking my own results and writing about them. It helps to keep me motivated to keep going. The second reason is that I hope it will help some of you to begin your own journey toward financial freedom. After all; if I can do it. Then anyone can.

All throughout November there seemed to be one main topic that has been captivating the entire crypto market. The Bitcoin spot ETF in the US finally being on the verge of being approved. No one knows for certain when it will happen. But the consensus has changed from it being unlikely, to sometime in the future, to a near certainty within the next few weeks or months. When the ETF is finally approved; that is when the fireworks will really begin. Aside from Bitcoin, Solana and its ecosystem have been receiving a lot of hype. While airdrops on Ethereum were the play last cycle, it seems that airdrops in the Solana ecosystem will be this cycle’s play.

Finally, excitement is returning to the cryptocurrency market. While we are not in a full-fledged bull market quite yet. We are definitely no longer in bear territory. In just a few months everyone will be talking about the next Bitcoin halving. And that is when things will really become exciting.

Without further delay, let’s look at my performance during November.

Cryptocurrency Blogging

As always Publish0x continues to be one of my most consistent earners. While my earnings are technically down, this isn’t due to a dip in performance. It’s simply because I have been posting less often. I’m working on a few projects in the background that I hope to bring to light sometime in the near future.

Slowly I am moving closer to the 9,000 follower milestone. I would like to thank each and every one of you for reading my articles.

Publish0x Total = $27.79

Hive is the rollercoaster that I can never tame and have consistent performance. One month will be great, and then the next month will drop. Unfortunately, this month was one of those lower performing months. With that said, I remain highly motivated about the Hive platform. During the last cycle, it was my best-performing platform.

Hive Total = $12.29

Nothing new to report on Substack. I’m still posting here, but haven’t seen substantial growth recently.

Substack Total = $0

It seems like Medium is finally settling down after the algorithm change to earnings a few months ago. Before the change, I was regularly earning around $600 per month. But now it has dropped down to the $200 range. While it is a large drop, I’m still ecstatic with the performance. Out of all the platforms that I write on, Medium has the most potential by far.

Medium Total = $198.92

Freelance Writing

Unfortunately, there were no freelance writing opportunities this month.

Freelance Writing Total = $0

Cryptocurrency Blogging Total = $239.00

Crypto Staking

Ever since the crypto lending platforms became insolvent last year, I have begun to invest more heavily in crypto assets that you can earn passive income by staking.

Ethereum (ETH)

0.031411 ETH = $65.68

Solana (SOL)

0.59235 SOL = $36.10

Internet Computer (ICP)

3.92 ICP = $18.22

Crypto Lending & Staking Total = $120

Coinbase — $0

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any airdrops of note during this month.

Miscellaneous Total = $0

Total November Earnings = $359.00

Overall, my earnings for the month of November continued to lag due to my performance on Medium continuing to go down. With that said, I’m still very happy with my overall numbers, and very motivated to work even harder next month.
