There is one thing that everyone investing in the cryptocurrency market wants. They all want to succeed and change our lives financially forever. That is the dream that was sold to us and piqued our interest in the market. The longer that you are in the crypto market, you will hear an exhaustingly long list of what it takes to be successful in this market. Having patience, taking advantage of price dips, investing in the right coins, never investing more than you can afford to lose, and the list goes on. There is no denying that all of those things are incredibly important to the formula of crypto success.
However, over the years there is one trait to which I attribute all of the success I’ve had. Since entering the Bitcoin and crypto market, I have had an unquenchable hunger to find success in this market and turn my life completely around.
Upon first hearing the advice that all you need to have is an intense hunger to succeed, it will likely sound bland or basic. But once you learn everything that goes into it, you will begin to understand.
When I say that I had an unquenchable hunger for success; I mean it. I was willing to do whatever it took, no matter how difficult it was. Putting in work while all my friends and family were out relaxing, watching movies, or even traveling. It meant that I was going to sacrifice having fun, entertainment, or even relaxing for a long time.
While my friends were watching movies on Netflix, I was reading the Bitcoin whitepaper. When they wanted to go shopping, I was researching the market and built my knowledge of crypto. When they wanted to go to sleep, I was budgeting and finding any possible way to squeeze more money out of my salary to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
But, the hunger for success would become even stronger and some people would say it morphed into obsession. I had put in the work, gained knowledge of the market, and had full conviction on where I thought the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum would be going. The only problem was that I didn’t own enough. I needed to be doing more.
It began by selling anything I didn’t need that was lying around the house. This was a good initial bonus to my crypto portfolio, but I wasn’t satisfied. Next, I began blogging about crypto. It was a way that allowed me to share my passion for this industry, but also earn a side income as well. All were being reinvested back into crypto. Once you get your entrepreneurial mindset going, it becomes difficult to turn it off. And that resulted in me thinking of new methods to earn even more.
The next method I chose to earn was to lend out my crypto to 3rd party lending services. Places such as BlockFi, Celsius, Ledn, and Nexo. In hindsight, it was a risky move, that could have turned out disastrous. However, I was very lucky to escape unscathed. While I likely will never lend out my Bitcoin again. There is no denying that lending my Bitcoin was an incredibly profitable venture for me. I was earning several hundred dollars each month. Something that really helped to jumpstart my cryptocurrency portfolio. (Again not something that I would recommend doing today.)
My next venture was Ethereum mining. I was lucky to get into this market before the price of Ethereum had exploded, and before mining machines were too expensive. I mined ETH only for a short time, but it was very profitable. Becoming a key method that allowed me to accumulate Ethereum.
The key trend is that I was never satisfied in this market. After each new successful venture, I wanted more and was already searching for the next opportunity. I was willing to do whatever it took. Whether it meant working a side job, creating my own internet side hustle, selling what I didn’t need, or outworking anyone else.
With all of this said; you have to be careful to keep the obsession for success in check. Always remember that there is danger in the market and that you must always be watching it. That is the thing that saved me from the crypto lending disasters last year. While I am still very far from reaching my goals, I am happy to say that crypto has allowed me to completely change my life. I have full confidence that if I can do it, anyone can!
