Huge News!
As of today (May 31st) more than 5 million ETH have been staked on the Ethereum 2.0 staking contract. At the current market price of ETH ($2,625) that equates to over $13,000,000,000 already staked.
The current Ether Total Supply is just over 116 million ETH, meaning that over 4% of the entire Ether Total Supply has already been staked and the amount of people staking their ETH does not appear to be slowing. As more decentralized options are brought online, anyone with ETH that they want to take now have options aside from the centralized exchanges offerings.
Personally, I have a long hold view on Ethereum, believe that it will remain a pillar in Crypto and am happy to stake my ETH.
