Measuring the Cryprocurrency Market's Greed and Fear Index. What Investors Should Do Now
"We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful."
-Warren Buffett
Bitcoin, like any asset moves from undervalued to overvalued. The interesting thing about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market is the volatility we see on a regular basis. Because of low volume and emotional market response, Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market present a great wealth-building opportunity.
After a rollercoaster ride last week that propelled Bitcoin from below $10,000 to $14,000 and then back to $10,000, investor sentiment has waxed and waned accordingly. The cryprocurrency marketcap has fluctuated by an amazing $40 billion this month, and has tripled since Q1 2019. How can we have fear and greed in the market to take advantage of undervalued and mispriced assets?

Greed and fear are measured by investment firms and Alternative.me in the case of the cryprocurrency greed and fear index. Aspects including market momentum, social media presence, volatility and marketcap levels are researched and the measure is presented. In order to buy low and sell high, one should buy when fear is highly measured in the market and sold when greed peaks.
Even after the drop this weekend, investors and traders have been gaged and measured as being greedy. Now is the time to stay on the sidelines until a selloff and fear rebalances the scale.
