WallStreet Games: WSG (Hoping that someone fat fingers this one....)

A few weeks (or was it a month ago...), during the mad meme/doggy coin days of 2021 (are we still in the same year and cycle?) a few tokens started getting dropped into my BSC wallets. Two of these were weirdly interesting enough for me to add to a watch list... but I sure as hell wasn't going to buy any!

The first of them was PandaHash (PANDA)... don't ask me what it does or anything like that. I'm not wasting time researching it! I sold some off at the height of the mania in to BNB and CAKE which are both tokens that I find worthwhile to hold... although, to do that you really need set the slippage tolerance uncomfortably high on the Pancakeswap UI... and remember to set it back to something less ludicrous when you are done!

The other was the WallStreetGames (WSG) token, that never reached the heady heights of a trillion units per cent... or whatever these tokens are worth. These crazy tokens are really a bit mind bending for someone like me... dealing with billions of units per dollar or cent really puts my mind out of whack, as it is really hard to figure out what they are actually worth... and it also makes for difficulty in counting the right number of zeros before or after decimal points!

WSG was never really worthwhile to do an on-chain transaction to sell... but I left it hanging around as there were more than enough people who idolised the Wall Street Bets group (I'm not even sure if WSG is even affiliated with them...) and that might just be enough to push it to have some non-zero value!... an overly inflated value even! Personally, I don't think that the Wall Street Bets group are the knights in shining armour or Robin Hoods that they portray themselves to be... I find consider them to be as fickle and dangerous as a Telegram pump and dump channel, definitely something for me to avoid!

So, I was incredibly surprised to see that MXC had listed the token in the innovation section. Well... not that surprised, MXC tends to have a pretty cavalier attitude to listing tokens... it is often the first or one of the first centralised exchanges to list hard to get tokens. A mixed blessing, as it can get you access to tokens that you would only be able to get on Uniswap or Pancakeswap before they list on really big exchanges... or it can expose you to a wealth of tokens of dubious quality!

So... WSG was listing today... and there was a deposit contest as well on MXC, so I figured I may as well send all the WSG tokens from my wallets to a single point and be able to dump them easily off-chain.

Listing day is always a time of huge volatility for any token... and one of defining characteristics of the WSG token is the hideous amounts of numbers... both placeholder zeros after the decimal point and the sheer size of the units being used for such small worth. It is a recipe for someone to accidentally fat-finger a transaction and accidentally shift the market! Especially in the fast moving chaos of the opening session!

So... I've set up some highly unrealistic sell orders in the hope that someone somewhere will do something stupid and fat finger a purchase order on what I consider to be a completely worthless token! Tell you what... if that happens, this will have been totally worthwhile and life-changing in an hilarious manner! More likely though, nothing will happen and nothing will be different from this morning!t
