Unlocking True Mass Adoption for Crypto and Blockchain Implies "Burning Some Bridges"

What's the purpose of crypto if we don't hustle hard enough to find "its purpose" in the world? Cryptocurrency goes beyond disrupting payment systems and the old banking cartel. It aims to revolutionize the internet.

Personally, I envision a world where more than 50% of our daily online activities involve blockchain or some form of cryptocurrency. From where I stand, over 50% of my online time is dedicated to crypto-related tasks.

Whether it's using Hive, making crypto payments, trading, or learning about blockchain, the influence of crypto in my digital life is significant. This is just the beginning. We need to attract newcomers to explore crypto as an alternative to traditional currencies and then work towards "taking over the world."

Recently, there was an interesting development in Florida: a lawyer suggests that real estate transactions can be processed using Bitcoin. Interestingly, this comes shortly after Ron DeSantis signed a law banning any form of central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the state.

Critics may argue that crypto is merely digital cash created out of thin air. However, what about traditional currencies like the dollar or euro? Are they any different?

Congressman Brad Sherman once said, "They'll accuse the U.S. government of making money out of thin air. Maybe we do, but we're the U.S. government". It seems like they believe it's acceptable for the government to create currency out of thin air, but when individuals do it, it's considered fraudulent or a fad.

According to CryptoBatman, Bitcoin's limited supply and decentralized nature make it the ultimate wealth protector. With inflation on the rise in many countries, the demand for Bitcoin is expected to grow stronger [source]. If the current financial system were to collapse or if inflation spirals out of control, more individuals would seek a better currency to preserve their wealth.

To achieve true mass adoption, we must dismantle the bridges between crypto and fiat. Currently, most individuals in the crypto space frequently switch between the two. Less than 10% of crypto enthusiasts fully embrace and use cryptocurrencies on a daily basis.

Personally, I've almost entirely transitioned to crypto. Taking a risk during a bear market seemed like the perfect time to reassess my perspective on money and value-storing assets. I'm not waiting for mass adoption to come from regulatory bodies like the SEC.

For me, true mass adoption means projects like Hive sponsoring boreholes in Ghana and HBD being integrated into the Cuban economy as an exchange currency.

As long as we rely on fiat bridges, true mass adoption in crypto won't happen. The same pattern occurred with decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Centralized exchanges (CEXs) faced regulatory challenges and hacks before the rise of decentralized finance (DeFi). Once we break free from the fiat mindset, we can propel true mass adoption in crypto.

Who cares what the SEC Chairman thinks when he labels everything other than Bitcoin as a security?

He has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of understanding in crypto and finance. We shouldn't depend on him for regulation. Once we become the world, we no longer need external regulation. If we continue to operate within the fiat system, we'll remain trapped in the same cycle for decades.

I'm not afraid of a financial collapse. If it happens, it will be by design. After more than five years in crypto, I have a clear vision of what I want for my future. Hive is just a small part of the crypto industry, yet it already resembles an online society. Not every crypto-labeled project will succeed, but the true ones are poised to be part of a new world order led by us, not them.

Thanks for your attention,

Adrian
