This is a test. No, this post is not a test, but the whole coronavirus might be a test, us the vast majority, being the lab hamsters to be tested and see how much we've evolved, or should I say involved. How obedient we've become, how long we can live without too much human interaction and whether we can live more inside, than outside.

After all we have almost everything that we need indoors... We might need to get to the supermarket once in a while, but we still own one of the best ingredient for a lock down, that was mentioned by @toofasteddie in his last post, and that's the internet. Yep, the 4G, 5G and WI-FI that most of us have access to is what makes the lock down successful. He was saying that life inside with two kids would have been way more difficult than without it and I intuitively get him.

I commented that without the net we would have got outside and do something about the whole pandemic way sooner. At first it had a bit of romance in it, but now it seems that news outlets are somehow trying to prolong it as much as possible, with all sort of reasoning on why getting back to normal would work or not, why the vaccine that I would never take, needs more research and how staying inside helps that much at any cost.

Sweden doesn't do that, and just got a telegram message from a friend today with their downtown full of people and some of them singing at the balcony of the opera house. I guess they just tried to copy Italy, except they're not in lock down... They somehow do something about the virus, because persons that have flu symptoms are asked to stay home, their tourism has been drastically affected and Volvo factories being shut down due to the fact that it was bought by Chinese and probably they need supplies from China, but they're not on panic more.

For the rest of us, the internet provides pretty much everything we need... inside. We have facebook, twitter, instagram, netflix, spotofy, youtube and so on. Hence we can't say we don't have time consumers, but do we really want to consume our time this way? I know some that would love to be receiving an universal basic income and live this much indoors, but I sure wouldn't do that. I'd like some few hundred dollars as a universal basic income just to take my bills burden out of my shoulders, but not paid for this price.

I can't believe how much I sleep during this pandemic. For example last night I went to sleep at around 2 AM, woke up at over 10 AM, and after lunch I got a nap of about an hour. That's nine hours per 24 hours and that's not healthy for sure. I feel that my back, knees, and almost all muscles need more exercise. I do some inside, I walk everyday, but that's not enough. We're not house pets, we were born hunters and walkers... and some of us even crawlers.

The reason for today's nap was that I already had my walk, had my lunch, had some talks with my family, couldn't stay outside and engage with anyone, and really didn't find the mood to read, surf the internet or meditate. I simply mentally got to an unwanted pause. I guess the best option for me is to have both. Inside and outside activity and not just one. I'm not a hard physical working man but don't like staying on a chair for too much either.

Hence what would we have done if this pandemic came twenty years ago when all the net wasn't around as it is today. I guess we wouldn't have been such obedient and we would have questioned the lock down way sooner than now. We would have even asked to get on with our lives and risk contacting the virus. Who's doing that today though? I guess nobody...

We have attractions and distractions coming from the same box non stop at very high speeds and quite cheap, and here and now, with them into our open arms, we have our obedience test rolling. My guess is that the lock down will miraculously end, pretty much as it started, as soon as people will show signs of strong frustration for staying that much inside. My conspirator mind tells me that some sort of AI is already testing that through its tentacles upon us and will light a bulb right before the water would start to boil.

Germany is supposed to try and go back to normal after their Easter time which is April 12 from what I know, as its strong industry is on pause, but I feel like there is still room to stretch after the date. However the government needs to pump serious billions into its economy to keep it on stand by, but some small businesses might not survive that much, hence I don't believe Germany will continue with the lock down after the beginning of May, at any risk.

Smaller countries will follow suit and my estimations, not based on any bullshit number that they give in the media related to infected cases, deaths and so on, is that by the beginning of June we will be back to normal full steam. Probably not 100% as I see tourism, and restaurants, suffering even a bit after, still having panicked people that will avoid mass contact at any cost. You can't hold seven billions inside for too much though, with or without the army, and if the virus is not killed in almost half a year... then fuck it.

They do have though the first test and feedback for the next pandemic, when probably AI will walk on streets and do much more than a dumb fuck policeman can now. The level of censorship, restrictions, lack of privacy and freedom will be at way different levels when that will happen, hence this lock down will seem a child's play.
