DOGE: "The Backdoor Escape for Bitcoin"...

DOGE: "The Backdoor Escape for Bitcoin"...

I bet you haven't received that call yet... "What call?" you may ask. Well, that one coming from folks like your grandma, a distant cousin who only shows up during peak bull market cycles, and anyone you can think of who is almost clueless about crypto but somehow develops an appetite for such risky investments when BTC is too damn overbought.

As I mentioned in my latest post in the @leofinance community, despite having a lot of fun and partying during the weekend (celebrating Orthodox Easter), I had some interesting crypto talks and managed to redpill one of my mates into buying his first crypto.

I also had the chance to catch up with an old acquaintance whom I haven't seen for quite a while. Indirectly, he's the guy who brought me into crypto as he was the one who redpilled my friend that told me about crypto. I kind of owe him for everything...

The man has had it all in crypto. He used to mine bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash back in 2017, bought ETH at $50, lost tens of thousands on shady exchanges that went down overnight, made money in crypto, had his fair share of losses... and now, he's a DOGE soldier.

Well, he's not really a DOGE soldier in the true sense of the meaning, but according to him, he's all in on the shiba inu cute face meme coin, and he plans on adding to his stack all the way until 2025. The man has a plan and a time frame to fulfill his plan achievement.

Why 2025? Well, because of the halving, obviously... Why DOGE? You're going to be surprised by the answer. He believes that Elon Musk had nothing to do with DOGE's insane rally in 2021. According to his explanation for that rally, every time the Bitcoin network gets congested (which usually occurs after the halvings), DOGE starts pumping.

This friend of mine believes that whales willing to transfer insane amounts of money are pumping DOGE during bull markets just by exchanging BTC to DOGE so they can avoid congestions and send the DOGE "wherever needed" and then exchange the DOGE for BTC. Hence, DOGE is somehow Bitcoin's backdoor escape during network congestion times.

I don't know how accurate that statement is. I have to say that this individual is one of the smartest people I know. He's an IT guy, a brilliant mind that derails quickly whenever too much weed smokes his brains, but I find it hard to believe that Bitcoin is behind every DOGE pump and that DOGE is Bitcoin's savior... Just because it is fast, cheap, and reliable...

There's something else very interesting that I noticed lately, and that is despite the recent rally in Bitcoin and some altcoins, we're still in that phase when grandma is asking you how to buy Bitcoin or the distant cousin suddenly gives you "that call." This makes me believe we're in the early phases of the bull market.

Some of the altcoins are still over 90% underwater from their ATHs. We are still early in this bull cycle. 2025 is two years away, and that makes me say there's still room for accumulation. Just don't make the mistakes I did in the past couple of bull markets of swinging from one coin to another, missing out on important rallies and getting hyped about insane profits that will blind you from the "meat that you got on the table."

Being balanced and strong as a rock in front of emotions is key. When grandma asks you about Bitcoin, you should know that it's about time to plan your exit strategy if you didn't have one already...

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
