Convenience Killed The Cat

Convenience Killed The Cat

Yesterday evening, before going to sleep, I watched an interesting video by a Romanian economist talking about recession, talking PPI, CPI, America, Romania, and how things will unfold from a financial perspective in the months/years to come. According to his saying we, the Romanians are going to enter a recession a few good months after America does.

It's because, as he said, we oftentimes spend the skin on us before we realize it's too late... By too late, I mean getting into recession mode way long after the recession is actually in and right when borrowing becomes impossible. Americans like to borrow, and Romanians love that too, the problem is that we got the taste of credit decades after pretty much the rest of the world started drowning in it.

But once credit was on the table, there was no turning back for us. Houses got bigger, cars got shinier, businesses started to flourish and we somehow expanded our economy through credit, but when a recession kicks in, it's the ones that are most in debt that are going to suffer the most. You gotta pay the bank and when interest rates go higher while your income, due to economical contraction tightens, you're gonna have rough times ahead...

I don't take credit. I never did. I don't know if it was a good idea to stay away from debt, but I always felt like I was free to move, quit jobs, change jobs, take times off, and so on and so forth while not being in debt and I always looked at debt as if it was a sort of slavery. To some extent, it is because most of the people in debt are actually in that position due to their greed and stupidity.

Without taking credit, most of the individuals that I know, wouldn't drive the cars that they do, live in the big houses they have, and portray themselves as wealthier than they really are. If a recession comes, and Bitcoin will is unphased, then I'm going to outpace most of my co-nationals just because I don't live in debt. The potential shrinking of the economy will probably lead to cheaper commodity prices which, if Bitcoin doesn't tank, will make my life even better.

What are these people actually working their asses for and why are they in debt? Quite simple. They traded labor for fake money(cough brrr printers), chased ideal lives that weren't actually theirs, and are paying fraudulent taxes on stuff they don't really own. The bank can and probably will take back the house, the car, or whatever if the pleb doesn't pay.

I know money is fake, you know that too. We are still using that fake money for everyday purchases and as long as Bitcoin and other cryptos won't become exchange currencies we will be tied to this corrupt system in which only high-positioned individuals such as Nancy Pelosi and other inside traders and moneymakers will be able to outpace the system.

The rest is paying interest for stuff they don't really need... No matter how much credit we take, or how much work we indulge in order to step our game up, the elites will always do better and make us look as running inside a hamster spinning wheel. But, the question now is: why the hell do we run after all these things and sacrifice our time and labor by getting in debt?

It's because we are convenient. Why wait 10 years saving to buy a new car when you can have it right now?... Why "carry the burden" of 12 words phrases to self-custody of your Bitcoin when you can put Binance in charge of that? Why bother cooking when you can eat out? Why, why, why? It's because we're convenient motherfuckers. That's why we became fat, sick, and enslaved by debt in just a few decades of time.

It's convenience that killed the cat, not curiosity. Curiosity would rather free her, and us... Time to go out and enjoy the sun now, while it's free and up in the sky. I wish you all a great day and see you next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
