BTC is no longer a risky asset, it's crystal clear now, but when alt season???

Bitcoin scored a new ATH lately and as soon as it did that, meaning it broke $20k, some $3,000 were added on top of that like in minutes. Well, basically hours, but in crypto it feels like minutes.

It's no longer a risky asset as some of the goofies were calling it for many many years, as of yesterday, anyone who has even invested in Bitcoin is on profit. Yes, even the ones who bought the top in late 2017 are now sitting on a $3,000 profit, if they haven't sold like dummies at previous ATH of course.

I don't know if this is indeed the beginning for that raw and wild bull market that we've been waiting for, but it sure feels like there's basically open space where Bitcoin is currently hovering at.

We're currently exactly 220 days after the third halving has occurred for BTC and it's almost 3x the value it had back then. Usually bull markets triggered by halvings take about 364 to 525 days before the price peaks and BTC enters a new bear market.

That's what the history of the previous halvings is showing us. According to some experts in crypto, it seems that those bull markets seem to become longer and less impactful in price as BTC ages, hence it may take BTC actually 600 days or so to peak before getting totally bearish again.

If it would peak on the exact date it did back in 2017, four years later, then it would take 585 days from the previous halving to do that. Nobody knows exactly when that will happen for sure, but according to history we have a point of reference on when to expect the most profits out of BTC.

But what about alts? Although BTC has experienced substantial price gains, most of them aren't even close to their previous ATHs. LTC for example sits at around $105 out of the $360 it scored in 2017, making for a 3x that it needs to recover. ETH is doing a bit better, but still far from ATHs.

Fun fact though, LTC peaked in exactly December 18th, 2017, a day after BTC, and ETH almost a month after, on January 13, 2018. It doesn't seem to be any pattern that could help us chart when the potential peaks for these alts will occur, and for many others. What's clear though is that BTC rules everything in crypto and leads the way to the moon.

For the moment, Grayscale, MicroStrategy and other large financial institutions seem to be buying BTC not alts, while retail is more alts oriented. I, for example, am all in into alts and I was really wondering when will we have a proper alt season for alts. You know that saying, when BTC parties hard, altcoins party harder.

For the moment, their movement is quite shy tbh, except ETH which seems to be the strongest one. What do you guys think, will we have an alt season this year. Curious though, when and how high do you expect BTC, and altcoins to peak?

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
