Do You Ever Have A Voice?

Do You Ever Have A Voice?

It is liberating to know that my topic for our master thesis served as an eye opener for others. I never thought that I would have the VOICE to speak my truth. I never thought that I would be given a chance to be listened to. I shared things through my writing and my blogging experience is by far giving me a "voice" to write what I think is right and for other content creators who have the passion to bring their blogging experience to the next level.

When I was chosen as one of the Gamma students back in Uptrennd University, a community blossomed through the initiative of our chancellor, Tiger Lily, I knew in my heart that it entailed a huge responsibility. I couldn’t be posting low-quality content because it would tarnish the credibility of my other batch mates and such a shame to be given a chance to become part of GAMMA team and yet I am not giving my best. Even upon writing, I am grateful on my accomplishments from becoming a student and now a senior, not by age but by affiliation and graduated from our Master with my thesis What is Wrong with Sex before Marriage? Why Choose Chastity?

I have sent tips as a token of my gratitude to some content creators who shared their valuable comments,  and confirmed though a study was ten years back, still it has great relevance to what  is happening on the moral issues of our society which boils down to the idea of "premarital sex and chastity." She said that, 'If you wait to have sex before marriage, you can be sure, he really cares about you, how he takes care of your relationship, if he takes in account of your needs, to what extend he is willing to sacrifice."  In an online assessment of marriage called, "Relate" a study had shown that 20% of people are satisfied with their relationships as they have waited until marriage. The study involved 2,035 married participants.

My master thesis topic is quite sensitive, crucial to other religions and traditions. I was surprised various people who have a diverse mentality agreed to some of my respondents' statements. A friend working in the Middle East stated that, "there's nothing wrong with it because it's a natural human instinct," likewise, Odette, a confidant based in Germany and a nurse by profession, stated, "when the couple did it before marriage, it is how they expressed their love for one another. "

Thus I have to make sure that my write up has to be balanced and unbiased. I am glad that most of the comments I have gained are very overwhelming and optimistic to have shared the same views like mine regardless on the modernization of our era. I have a firm conviction that through blogging, we can reach out to others what we have in our minds and hearts. We can share valuable contents beneficial for their growth. The very essence of having a "voice" could come in various ways but my passion for writing gives me an opportunity to be heard indeed. How crucial it is to express our thoughts and influence others to also speak theirs.

Being able to share how I see things in the perspective of "waiting for the right time" brought different ideas yet came up with a general opinion, that it is better to engage sex within the context of marriage because of an "unwanted pregnancy and emotional stress" which could strain an early stage in the relationship. Taken from different observations and situations to the moral issues, it boils down to personal preferences, choices and exposure. It is very liberating to know that from a society I used to grow up wherein I tend to just stay on the corner and it doesn't matter whether I have something to say or not, now with the power of the social media platforms, I can share my views and opinions thus having the "voice" to be heard for my contribution.

How Much Time Have You Wasted?
How Much Time Have You Wasted?

Time is our valuable asset! It is certain that once we have waited for tomorrow of what we can do for today, we have wasted already a lot of opportunities. "Time is money" according to Benjamin Franklin which he referred to the output cost which means that we have let the opportunity to pass because we preferred to delay things. Given our life's realities, I have seen many people even during the pandemic who have wasted their time. I just can't imagine how they preferred to laze around online.
