in New York City. They float and swim on the Hudson River,

and they make us all feel peaceful. There is nothing like seeing

a herring gull in New York City

Herring Gulls (and other birds)

I took several photos for the Audubon Photography awards. No, I did not win, and it was my first time in the contest anyway. Well, wait till next time. And seeing the photos that did win, I can tell you the winners deserved it. Anyway, Herring Gulls are awesome. People associate New York City with pigeons, but just go to the Hudson River, East River, or Battery Park and you will see a diversity! Since birds are my thing when it comes to photography, I created a special blog just for them.
