Although seventy-six,
I’m still young at heart.
Others need walking sticks,
While I make an early start.

The fact is, my good health lies
In saying no to smoking,
Apart from the routine exercise,
Involves cycling and jogging.

Not only am I physically fit,
I appear younger too;
Coupled with my quick wit,
People think I’m only fifty-two.

It isn’t surprising in the least,
As I treat myself to a daily joke.
The pressures of life eased,
I’ve a more optimistic outlook.
