It’s just my luck,
The man I love took me for a fool,
Treated me like a doormat,
To the point of being unfaithful.
I ignored the gossip
Circling in the community.
Mainly because I wished
My marriage will have continuity.
All efforts were in vain;
You’ve voiced dissatisfaction,
Listed all my shortcomings,
Instead of showing contrition.
I’m now ready to leave,
Make way for your new woman.
It’s what you asked of me,
But remember, I’m also human.
