It’s been x long years,
When we were school peers.
You’re easy to recognize,
As you were always nice.
You weren’t one of us,
Being all the time first.
In ’92, when school ended,
We were then separated.
You had things going for you.
Well, what’s new?
There weren’t surprises,
You won all the top prizes.
Now, as we sit on this bench,
I’ve just been retrenched.
Casually talk about your baby,
I see you don’t remember me.
Will pretend we’ve just met,
Tell you about my pet,
And offer you a toast,
'Cos of myself, nothing to boast.
