A dream so bright, so vivid
I see your handsome face,
And hear your deep voice
Talking about our shared days.
I startle wide awake
Confused, it's too real;
I thought I had forgotten
Memories in a tight seal.
Four years have passed
We're in different places;
Distance can't be bridged
On life's separate pages.
Time can't be turned back
Regrets are too late;
Nothing more can be done
Good or bad, this is our fate.
