Looking far into the horizon
The sharp glow of orange;
From the setting sun
Building memories in storage.
It has been a good run
The race of life is ending;
And as the clock ticks
The final moment we're dreading.
A new day surely comes
One as calm and peaceful;
That's untouched or stained
For some, even joyful.
But can I stop the time?
Not pause, just break it?
If I can, I will do so
And spare us this sad bit.
