As I stand here rooted
With tears streaming down my face;
Through the blurriness, you become smaller
In my heart just an empty space.

As 1001 questions course through my mind
That I will, unfortunately, have no answers to;
"WHY????" I can only scream
What just happened to us, to you?

Today marks the day you leave
Tell me, what am I to do henceforward?
Without you by my side anymore
How can I ever move onward?

Knees buckle, I crumple to the ground
To get up I no longer have the strength;
Oh, the pain in my heart, crushed
Seeping from my being bit by bit my breath.
