Spare Part

Spare Part

By emily2u | From the Heart | 18 Feb 2021

Though hoped it’d be soon,
Time hasn’t healed this wound,
Inflicted by you who held my heart,
Treated me like spare part.

Was at you whim and fancy,
But you had a girl named Nancy.
Friends gave ample warning,
Yet, for you, I had total longing.

I hadn’t a demand,
Was fully at your command.
Help, I refused to seek ---
Do I regret for being so weak!

When chucked out of your life,
For some time, didn’t feel alive.
Slowly, could breath a little easier.
Now my world seems prettier.

Somehow, I’ll survive this chapter,
Have stopped writing you any letter.
Thank you for this lesson,
As behind this could be a reason.
