As the day wears on
And more coffee can't wake me,
Throbbing in my temple
.... Intensifies.
The noise in my head
Gets louder, stronger,
Telling me of the wrongs
I may have committed.
Can't help but wonder
Who has the answer
To all my questions
That are left unasked?
The crashing of the waves
Is singing a lullaby,
Beckoning to me
Closer... and closer... and closer...
