Sitting ‘neath the tall pine tree
Its needles rain down on me
Entangle with my hair
While some continue falling.
A family of birds perch on branches
Chirpy chirpy chip chip chip
They sing in unison a sweet melody
Which charms both Heaven and Earth.
Sitting ‘neath the tall pine tree
Legs crossed in lotus fashion
In a semi-conscious state
To clear myself of jumbled thoughts.
Sorrow flies out from my being
Seeps into the ground,
Converts to positive energy
Becoming the fertilizer of all plants.
