Jones

Jones

I was Jones,
Now six feet underground,
Just a bag of bones,
From me there’s not a sound.

It’s too bad,
The end came so soon.
It’s quite sad,
To occur one night in June.

Footsteps I could hear,
In a second, got waylaid.
Heaven’s Gate came near,
Before anything was said.

Didn’t know what happened,
Felt the stab of a sharp object.
It was all too sudden,
But why was I the subject?

Justice seems far away today.
Though now anger I vent,
Every minute I pray,
For the time to take revenge.
