If I were born thirty years earlier,
I’d be the happiest person,
For I’m certain our paths would cross,
And we’d have the most amazing time.
If only I could turn back time for you,
You’d be about my age.
There won’t be this generation gap,
We’d not disagree on so many issues.
Since matters are this way,
There’s nothing we can do,
But assume we don’t know each other,
And forget about the ‘ifs.’
We’ve our own families to consider,
Friends hold us in high esteem.
We mustn’t jeopardize our standings,
For a few moments of gratification.
