‘Twas a beauteous morn,
When I was born.
Mournfully, also your demise;
Oh, anguished were Mum’s cries.
She took on the role of dad,
At no one she was mad.
My guardian angel you became,
Helping me achieve my aim.
Mum made the best of each day,
Raising me with her meager pay.
Not once does she sigh,
In fact, her motto’s “Never say die”.
The years slip by serenely,
Your love continues to shine faithfully.
You give us a clear vision,
So we don’t make a wrong decision.
Life’s not too much of an ordeal,
When your presence we can feel.
