I appreciate such treatment
From true gentlemen,
Though there’s no satisfaction,
Through your utter devotion.

You’re clever in putting
All at ease with your chatting.
You’re on stage, the main actor,
While I’m only another character.

I know what you’re after,
All your wishes will come true later.
That’s what you think,
From me, you won’t get anything.

I’m naïve but I’ve common sense.
‘Tis always ‘bout dollars and cents.
So I’ll only give my hand
To an honest man.
