College Seat

College Seat

By emily2u | From the Heart | 30 Jun 2021

To obtain a college seat I’ve failed,
As all my applications were rejected.
Don’t look as if I’m fit to be jailed,
Isn’t it enough I’m feeling dejected?

All were fine like an engine well oiled,
I was even soundly rested.
Along the way, plans were foiled,
In a critical subject that was tested.

I believe I’ll bounce back,
Having learned from this lesson.
My world cannot forever be black ---
After this, I’ll be a stronger person.

I need your utmost encouragement,
This heartless society I’ve to face.
I’ll fight for my enrollment,
And come out from these dark days.
