The time has come
To break free I will,
No longer shackled
Dreams waiting to fulfill.
Bask in the sunshine
As heat touches skin,
A layer of grime peeled away
Washed away is one big sin.
As memories come flooding
Blocked them from mind,
There's no space for it
Let's just leave them behind.
A new day, a fresh start
Is what I'm claiming,
Wipe clean my slate
A better life I'm redeeming.
