Just off the coast of Hiroshima, Japan you'll find the the famous island Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi. One of the most iconic touristic spots is the Itsukushima Gate as shown in the image here.

The island has so much more to offer than just the touristic hot spots. Visiting the local villages and hiking up the mountain tops to catch the views sound like a dream.

This touristic destination is despite the many visitors worth while the effort to go there. You'll find quiet spots just left and right of the 'beaten' track to relax and take in the scenery. I would highly recommend you visit once!
