Are you your own man? When you were younger, you said what you wanted to and did what you wanted to without regards to what others thought. You didn't care what others thought of you. When you were young, you could wear what you want where you want. You didn't worry about people making fun of you. You were fearless. When you were younger, you could climb trees and jump walls. You could make fun of girls and enjoy as your thought it was the 'boys' thing to do.
Then something changed. You became more self aware and self conscious. You decided that other people's opinion mattered more than yours. You couldn't speak your mind because you felt others will disagree. You couldn't wear what you wanted because others will make fun of it. It won't meet their standards. You decided that climbing trees and jumping walls was reckless and irresponsible. You decided that, making fun of woman for your own enjoyment might bring negative outcomes.
You became someone else's man. You became society's man. You lost your inner compass and you were made to believe that's how it's supposed to be. You were made to believe it meant you are now mature and a responsible adult. You were made to conform and be like everybody else. That's when men seized to be men. Now everything men do has to be approved by women.
