I learnt a new word today. ***Christian Atheism*** Doesnt the word sound wierd to you? I always thought Christians who believed in Jesus Christ, the son of God? So how could there be Christians who were atheists? First lemme try and explain what my understanding of Christian Atheism is.
Christian Atheism is the following of the moral teaching of Jesus Christ without the believe in God. Isn't that kinda weird, but it's understandable. Lots of people are gradually losing faith in the believe of a Supreme Being.
Lots of people this days go to church, give to the needy, live peacefully with others, pay their tithes and do a lot of good, but they aren't sure of the existence of a God. They aren't against the existence of a God necessarily, but they just don't believe He exists.
Being a Christian is about following Christ to God. You can't follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and not believe in God. Then you really don't know God.
Being a Christian isn't only about going to church. It involves knowing God and his son who came to earth to die for the sins of the world. It involves the believe in the existence of God, His son Jesus, and believing He came to die for your sins.
God is real. Jesus is real. I've not seen any of them, I've not been brainwashed, but I know they are real. Wether you believe or not is your decision, but you have nothing those believing now and finding out later they weren't real. It will be a shame to find out they were real when it's too late.
