Poland is a very beautiful country. People are hospitable and friendly. And there are many places to watch. I will try to bring the Publish0x community a little bit of the world in which I was born and live.
I visited Reszel during my vacation in September two year ago. I live in Central Poland. Reszel is in the eastern part of the country, very close to the border with Russia (Kaliningrad District).
Well... I am taking all of you for a walk around Reszel....
Reszel is a small town that is located in Poland in a geographical region called Warmia. It is indeed a very small city, which covers 3.82 km, with a population of around 4,600 inhabitants. The population density is high, because 1208 people live on 1 km². So the city can compete with Beijing, where the population density is 1323 people / km² :))

The town has medieval buildings and a peculiar atmosphere of the past centuries. Time also flows slowly and lazily here. Maybe that's why, since 2004, Reszel has been a member of the international cittaslow (cities where time flows more slowly).
In the city there are three gothic bridges over the Sajna River, which flows through Reszel. Two of them are preserved in very good condition (Fisherman's Bridge and Low from the fourteenth century), and the third, covered with earth. Here is also a vast park on the river.

Just behind the beautiful park, there is the St. Peter and Paul's Church towering over the city, built in the Gothic style.

Before entering the church, lies a stone. In olden times, people who committed minor crimes were not brought to trial in Reszel. The criminal, stripped naked, was placed on that stone, his hands were tied to hooks embedded in the wall. People who went to the Church did justice to him. People coulded spit on him or throw eggs at him.

If we are looking for accommodation in Reszel, we will find it in the Hotel Reszel Castle. The rooms combine medieval suedeity with contemporary comfort. The castle once belonged to the Warmian bishops. It was built by the Teutonic Knights in the 14th century. In 1632, the Jesuits founded a famous college here. There was a prison in the castle during the partition of Poland

The visible building is the presbytery from 1444, considered the oldest stone building in Warmia. The presbytery cannot be visited. It is under renovation.

Charming tenement houses, pastry shops, handicrafts shops, all this means that, as befits a cittaslow, life goes on very calmly here. If someone is looking for a place where they forget about the whole world, then they should go to Reszel for a week. Even the cat, which sits leasy in the middle of the pavement, seems saturated with the atmosphere of this charming town.

It is also worth noting that it was in Reszel that the last pile burned. It was in 1811 and it started romantic. Barbara was a 38-year-old woman with 4 childrens, he was a 20-year-old farmhand. They were united by love that brought them to Reszel. Soon, however, the boy left the woman and lived in a poor alley. Abandoned Barbara visited him, threatening him with revenge. In September 1807 a fire broke out. Two people lost their lives. Suspicion was thrown at Barbara, imprisoned and accused of arson and witchcraft. After a year she was sentenced to death at the stake. She was imprisoned in the basement of the castle. She was executed on Szubieniczna Góra (Gallows Mountain) near Reszel in 1811. Apparently, before the fire was set on fire, she was strangled to shorten her torment ...You could say it was fired love🔥🔥
